Valves for Industrial Crystallization

In China, the stainless steel ball valves are widely used in petroleum refining, chemical industry, papermaking, pharmaceuticals, electric power, steel and other industries, which have occupied a pivotal position in the national economy. As for the structure of the stainless steel ball valve, it is made of the valve body, spool and several channels through its axis. What is more, there are also other types of valves used in other fields, such as gate valve, globe valve, check valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, water check valve, forged steel valve, knife gate valve.

 

As for the valve used in the industrial crystallization, gate valve is used to cut off the medium, and the pressure loss of the medium is minimum in gate valve. Gate valves are generally suitable for working conditions that do not require frequent opening and closing. In this situation, we can keep the gate fully open or fully closed. However, gate valve is not suitable for regulation of the medium. For the media flowing at high speed, gate valve can cause vibration which may damage the sealing surfaces of the gate and other parts of the valve. What is more, throttling of the media will cause the erosion of the gate caused by the media. From the structure of the valves, the main difference is the form of the sealing element which is used in the valve. According to the form of sealing elements, gate valves are often divided into several different types, such as ball valve, butterfly valve, check valve, globe valve, regulating valve and so on.

 

Apart from the gate valve, the shut-off valve is also used in the industrial crystallization. The axis of valve stem is perpendicular to the sealing surface of the valve. Hence, the opening or closing of the valve stem is relatively quick, and it has a very reliable for shut-off action, which can make the shut-off valve very suitable adjustment and throttling of the medium.

 

Once the shut-off valve is in the open state, there is no contact between its seat and disc, which can reduce the mechanical swearing of the sealing surfaces because most discs of the valve are easier to repair or to replace. Also, it is not necessary to remove the entire valve from the pipeline when replacing the sealing component in the shut-off valve, which is very suitable for the case where the valve and the pipeline are welded together. As the flow direction of the medium through this kind of valves has changed, the flow resistance of the shut-off valve is higher than other valves.

 

Shut-off valves which are commonly used are the gate valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, non-return valve, regulating valve, hydraulic control valve, pressure reducing valve.

 

All in all, as a kind of efficient tool in industry, the stainless steel valves such as ball valves and shut-off valves keep its leading position in both technology and application, which greatly helps the production in many fields.
